Didn't get to bed until after 11:00 p.m. last night. So, getting up at 6:30 this morning was hard. I'm usually in bed by 10:00, so just that extra hour is enough to make it hard to get up in the morning.
I've been going through a battle since the first of September with Tellicheck and now a collection service for the postal service. The first of September I ordered new checks from a new company called Life Checks. The company printed the wrong account number on my checks and it's taking forever for my checks to be returned to the companies so I can make good. Well, my first three checks that I wrote to Walmart, finally came through so after a long conversation with a collector, he finally waved the fee's that come with returned checks. I've been blessed that out of the 18 checks written only three companies changed me a fee. Well, I took care of a check I wrote to the post office when the incident happened and the postmaster never cleared it. Well, then a battle with a man in collection occurred right after my battle with Tellicheck. Well, after he called my postmaster he called me back and told me to avoid the letter and penalty has been removed. The Lord again was on my side and blessed me. But early on a Friday morning is not the way on wanted to start my day.
Got to work and I started feeling a little sick to my stomach. Don't know why but as the day moved on, I actually started feeling good. It was a busy day, a lot of customers coming in and getting money. This is the big deer hunting weekend so men coming in left and right taking out large sums of money. Well around 3 each day, I count my till. As usual I closed my counter and started counting. I counted my till three times and all three times, I was over $100.00. As the saying goes, '"holy mother of turpentine" who did I not give a $100.00 too?' It was a battle of trying to remember each transaction and what I gave. Well, after a hour or so, my dear boss Ann suggest I call this particular customer that's a chatty catty and ask her about her transaction. Praise God I did and yes I short changed her a $100.00. I feel so bad. She came back in and was very nice about it.
Then met Larry and Charles at our favorite Mexican restaurant that happens to be down the street from work. Steve (the owner) placed them at a booth so I could find them. I had my usual 3 enchi's, one of each smothered in their green chili sauce. Saw a few familiar faces while there and then home it was.
Got a nice letter from Jeff, he's bored and wants to start basic now and not in two weeks.
I'm exhausted and ready for bed. It's going to be a busy weekend. I have no food in the house, running out of supplies and will spend my morning at Walmat buying out the store.
Can't wait for church this Sunday. Jeff's friend Michelle might be there. She's a nice christian girl and we would love to have her at our church. She goes to the Assembly of God right now. I'm praying my friend (name I won't say), won't try and set Michelle up with her son, like she tried to do at Jeff's going away party.
But, anyways it's been a long, long day and I'm ready to close my eyes and start a new day. So, I will end with "good-night John Boy"
