End of MY rope

I'm at the end of MY rope. Jeff says his graduation from Basic Training is on December 19, but Family day is December 18. Well, I've been pricing out airline tickets and found that it's just best for us to get a round trip tickets from Salt Lake to Montgomery Alabama. I booked the flights and after booking Jeff's flight to fly home with us, I noticed he was on a different flight. I used to separate credit cards, and now don't have enough on either cards to redo the purchases, until the money is refunded. After a fit of anger I cancelled all our reservations. God allowed me to cancel my reservations without stopping me, God allowed me to be a nasty person to the lady on the other end, God allowed me to place myself in this mess, God has now allowed me to have my pity party. Praise God that I'm now painfully sorry for ALL my actions. Praise God that He gave me the revelation that my behavior, was just that 'my behavior' and not His. In His grace, He whispered "SHUT UP DEB, I'LL TAKE CARE OF THIS", of course He had to whisper it several times, before I as usual hear what He was saying. So, I'm taking a breather for a couple of days before I start looking at airline flights, I will contact and move money around in order to get the flights and know that the money will be refunded for the first flights, not in my timing, but in Gods'. PRAISE GOD, He gave me more rope to work with, I just won't be playing with the rope today.

It has been a long Day

Didn't get to bed until after 11:00 p.m. last night. So, getting up at 6:30 this morning was hard. I'm usually in bed by 10:00, so just that extra hour is enough to make it hard to get up in the morning.

I've been going through a battle since the first of September with Tellicheck and now a collection service for the postal service. The first of September I ordered new checks from a new company called Life Checks. The company printed the wrong account number on my checks and it's taking forever for my checks to be returned to the companies so I can make good. Well, my first three checks that I wrote to Walmart, finally came through so after a long conversation with a collector, he finally waved the fee's that come with returned checks. I've been blessed that out of the 18 checks written only three companies changed me a fee. Well, I took care of a check I wrote to the post office when the incident happened and the postmaster never cleared it. Well, then a battle with a man in collection occurred right after my battle with Tellicheck. Well, after he called my postmaster he called me back and told me to avoid the letter and penalty has been removed. The Lord again was on my side and blessed me. But early on a Friday morning is not the way on wanted to start my day.

Got to work and I started feeling a little sick to my stomach. Don't know why but as the day moved on, I actually started feeling good. It was a busy day, a lot of customers coming in and getting money. This is the big deer hunting weekend so men coming in left and right taking out large sums of money. Well around 3 each day, I count my till. As usual I closed my counter and started counting. I counted my till three times and all three times, I was over $100.00. As the saying goes, '"holy mother of turpentine" who did I not give a $100.00 too?' It was a battle of trying to remember each transaction and what I gave. Well, after a hour or so, my dear boss Ann suggest I call this particular customer that's a chatty catty and ask her about her transaction. Praise God I did and yes I short changed her a $100.00. I feel so bad. She came back in and was very nice about it.

Then met Larry and Charles at our favorite Mexican restaurant that happens to be down the street from work. Steve (the owner) placed them at a booth so I could find them. I had my usual 3 enchi's, one of each smothered in their green chili sauce. Saw a few familiar faces while there and then home it was.

Got a nice letter from Jeff, he's bored and wants to start basic now and not in two weeks.

I'm exhausted and ready for bed. It's going to be a busy weekend. I have no food in the house, running out of supplies and will spend my morning at Walmat buying out the store.

Can't wait for church this Sunday. Jeff's friend Michelle might be there. She's a nice christian girl and we would love to have her at our church. She goes to the Assembly of God right now. I'm praying my friend (name I won't say), won't try and set Michelle up with her son, like she tried to do at Jeff's going away party.

But, anyways it's been a long, long day and I'm ready to close my eyes and start a new day. So, I will end with "good-night John Boy"

New Job

OK..some of you know that I've started a new job this week. I'm now working at the Granstville Federal Credit Union. It's amazing how the Lord works. When I left the last job in order to be with Jeff and get him out the door, I was OK with not working. But, when Jeff left on the 25th of September I asked the Lord to find me a job that will allow me to serve Him as well as make me content with what I am doing. Well, I applied for the job on Monday September 29th, had my interview October 2nd (right before I left for the airport) and Ann called me on my cell Friday the 3rd to tell me I have the job. I started on Monday October 6 and this week has been great. I'm working 8 - 9 hours for now, but after training I'll be three 9-10 hours. That's great for me, because it will allow me to volunteer for hospice. There are only three of us that actually work in the credit union. The board of members is my actual boss, but Ann is my daily on the job boss. She's a very nice lady with a sweet spirit about her. Melanie is a fun gal, my age and a smart cookie. I have allot to learn from the two of them. I'm not shadowing anyone I'm actually working, so my day goes by fast. Since it's a small credit union we don't get lines out the door, so it allows me to do some reading between customers. I have several books I've been waiting to read, this will give me the opportunity to do so. Well, just thought I would share my new news with you. Any one else start a new job lately?

Neil Diamond

Mom flew me out to California this pass weekend to see my heart throb Neil Diamond. Yes, he's my heart throb. He's also Mom's and Vickie's. Had a great time before the concert. having lunch in Beverly Hills and being navagated by Mom's GPS in her new Mercede's. While waiting for Neil to come out, Donald Sutherland was walking around and making those around aware that he was there. I've actually been to Donald Sutherland's, home back in about 84-85 while I was dating Tony. Tony was in a movie called "Rosebud Beach Hotel", he was just a extra. For some reason there was a party at Donald's home and we went. He lived up above the Hollywood sign. Well, I called Charles when the lights dimmed and he was coming out. Charles said he could hear Neil sing, but could hear me screaming. Well, if you haven't heard Neils latest album "Home Before Dark" it's a great album, from what I can tell. I'm buying it this weekend. He played a few songs from the album and I don't know if he's had the complete change from Jew to Christianity. His song's from this album that were written by him have such a word and since of spirituality to the wordings that you would think that the Spirit of the Lord inspired him, more than the everyday too stubborn to believe that the Messiah has come, Jew. What a touching and moving experience for me to hear some of the references in his songs. I pray he cuts the ties of Jewish customs and embarrasses the true custom of serving the Lord Jesus Christ as Messiah, born of a virgin mother, shedding his blood for our sins and resurrecting to fulfil the promises He's given to us. Praise God that He's patient with us.
